AXONAR operates from a pressurized habitat at 10,984 meters below sea level, where the pressure is 1,086 bar and the darkness is absolute except for the bioluminescent thought-currents we cultivate. Five neural cartographers work in 12-hour shifts, mapping minds through deep-sea neural-link. We don't use screens; we use sonar-projection. The game is a topography; the topography is a thought made visible.
A map begins as a single axon — a thread of thought in the dark. We trace its path through the cortex, mapping every branch, every synapse, every dendritic connection. The interaction is the tracing; the win condition is a map so complete it becomes the mind itself. If the axon dies, the map is erased. The abyss provides the pressure; the cartographer provides the trace. The mind provides the territory.
The atelier keeps one rule from the First Descent: *the map is not the territory — until it is*. The mark is a phosphorescent stamp in electric-violet, applied once per completed cortex. The abyss provides the silence; the axon provides the signal. The mind provides the map.
